Description

Gershwin is one of the few composers to genuinely span the worlds of classical and jazz music, and is one of the twentieth century’s most influential musical voices, despite his untimely death at the age of 38.

One of many evergreen collaborations by George and his brother Ira, ’The Man I Love’ started life as a song in the Broadway musical Lady, Be Good, but was deleted from that and two subsequent shows, going on to become best known as a popular jazz standard.

Parts included:

  • Trumpet in B-flat
